Saturday was a gorgeous day in Boston – bright sun, a hefty breeze and the feeling that all is well in the world (we all know that isn’t true, but everyone needs a break from the urgent sadness that seems to exist all around us these days.

I took a stroll to the North End of Boston – our “Little Italy,” and had what has to be the best pizza in the area. Been a long time since I ate at “Galleria Umberto,” a little hole-in-the-wall pizza joint that serves the best Sicilian style pizza I’ve ever had (including my own). Go there – but get there early, because there is always a line – get there too late, and the line will go from the cashier, out the door, and around the building.

Get there even later, and you risk hearing “No more left,” cuz when they are out, that’s it – no more til tomorrow (unless tomorrow is Sunday, when they’re closed).
